Johnby Hall

~Bed and Breakfast~
'Full of character and redolent of a long history… Johnby, with its potent evocation of northerly spirits,

is a most unusual and singularly beguiling place.'  ~Hugh Montgomery-Massingberd~

Welcome to the website of Johnby Hall, a Tudor manor house built onto a fourteenth-century pele tower, situated in the tranquil heart of rural Cumbria, on the north-east edge of the Lake District National Park.

The house was bought by the 10th Duke of Norfolk in 1783 and has remained in the Howard family ever since. It is now home to Henry and Anna Howard and their young family.

Whether you want to stay a week and explore the sights of Cumbria, or are just spending a night on your way to or from Scotland, Henry and Anna are delighted to welcome you into their home for bed and breakfast.
