to Johnby Hall,
a
Tudor manor
house built onto a fourteenth-century pele tower, situated in the
tranquil
heart of rural Cumbria, on the north-east edge of the Lake District
National
Park. The
house was bought
by the 10th Duke of Norfolk in 1783 and has been home to the
Howard
family ever since. Henry and Anna
Howard and their
young family welcome you for bed and breakfast.
Two delightful self-contained suites are available for bed and breakfast. Both have their own entrances from the garden. Dogs and children of all ages are welcome. Breakfasts feature meat and eggs from our own rare breed pigs and chickens, alongside the best of homemade and local produce. The
garden
and its adjacent woodlands are a haven for birds and wildlife, with a
good chance of seeing a red squirrel!
Whether
you want to stay
a week and explore the sights
of Cumbria,
or are just spending a night on
your
way to or from Scotland, Henry and Anna are delighted to welcome you
into their home for bed and
breakfast.
