Demolition Time

After a short delay while the level 3 archaelogy report was approved, the building work has progressed. The inside of the barn was pointed (all the gaps between the stones filled in), scaffolding erected to give access to the back wall and support the roof. There was a great view from the top of the scaffolding but going up there confused the goat

The wall had to come down because the structual engineer said it was unsafe, and next to that bit there is a window going in so it was safer to knock it down. You can see the righthand side of the window frame where they have started rebuilding. rear_elevation
