As its christmas I’ve made a couple of changes to my spiced apple cake. Replacing the sultanas with cranberries, and the calvados with port. So far I’ve baked 4 cakes, I’m part way through a mushroom wellington for tomorrow, and still have the minced pies to go!

I was just having a look at the latest version of wordpress…so I made a copy of everything and then upgraded that. Something must have been still pointing at the live version so I managed to break it, luckily the upgrade worked! So we are now running on the new version which looks surprisingly like the old version except for the admin pages.

You might have noticed some extra bits in the sidebar – wall & members. It’s because I’ve been playing around with google friend connect. The basic premise is that you can login with your Google (or Yahoo, AIM, OpenID) credentials without signing up for a separate account. So if you have one of these accounts try leaving a message on our wall. I’m not sure if it all works as intended but I’m sure you’ll leave me a comment if it doesn’t !!

I’ve also enabled the facebook equivalent….let me know if that’s more useful.
