Wonderful May weather

one comment

We’ve had some very fine days recently, so I thought I’d share a few views of the local scenery.

Welsh Castles

We’ve just got back from a short trip to wales to see my parents, sisters and their offspring. We managed to drive past Dolbadarn and Dolwyddelan, plus an aborted attempt to visit Tomen y Mur and finally managed to see Ewloe on the way home.

Our attempt to visit Tomen y Mur was aborted due to the terrible lack of signs, we found several saying that the fort wasn’t this way. We ran out of time because we were on our way to see Anne.

Tomen-y-Mur roman fort with later mott

Ewloe was a lucky find, we hadn’t heard of it before and were looking for somewhere to have lunch. We’d driven past Flint because it didn’t look promising ( though the guide book disagrees so we will have to go back), and ended up in Connah’s Quay

Frosty Morning

It was very frosty this morning. Everything painted with a layer of icing sugar. Got one picture of the outside of the conservatory.

An atmospheric sunrise, who’d want to be a sheep on a morning like this?
